5 Traits of Successful Entrepreneurs

In this post, I am going to share with you what I believe are the top 5 traits of successful entrepreneurs.

Now I am sure there are more than 5 traits successful entrepreneurs have, but these five are my personal top 5 based on what I’ve seen and experienced over the last 10 years.

Ok so let’s get started with our 5 traits of successful entrepreneurs.

#5 Beginner’s Mindset

Having a beginner’s mindset simple means that regardless of how knowledgeable you are, or how successful you are, you’re still able and willing to learn.

If you think you know everything already, and there’s nothing more to learn, then you have capped the level of success you could achieve.

Having a beginner’s mindset doesn’t mean you discount what you know or your experiences, it simply means you’re willing to accept that perhaps there is more to learn.

#4 Flexibility

Being flexible or able to “roll with the punches” is another very critical trait that successful that entrepreneurs have.

Being flexible doesn’t mean not having a success routine or schedule. It simply means you are able to adjust on the fly when needed.

Many times, you will find while on your entrepreneurial journey things won’t necessarily go as planned.

Being flexible in your thinking will help you make adjustments as needed and still achieve your goals.

#3 Resilience

Having resilience will help you to keep pushing toward your goals no matter what and will give you that never quit attitude.

This trait will help you to pick yourself up and keep going when things aren’t happening according to plan or you have a setback in your business.

Your resilience is like a muscle, the more you use it, the STRONGER It gets!

#2 Risk Taker

Entrepreneurs, in general, are risk takers. Now it’s important to understand we are not talking about being careless. This is a more of a calculated risk, but none the less a risk.

Starting a new business endeavor always comes with a level of risk. Unfortunately, most people are unable to see a possible good outcome and only focus on the negative, like “what is it doesn’t work?” or “what if I lose money?”

These are just a few of the “What if’s” that people will experience when considering becoming an entrepreneur. Sadly, this is also why most people choose to, “play it safe” and limit their life’s potential.

If you’re going to be successful in business, you have to be willing and able to take some risks!

#1 Resourcefulness

This is the NUMBER ONE trait that all successful entrepreneurs MUST have, RESOURCEFULNESS!

Entrepreneurs find a way to get it DONE no matter what!

They don’t make excuses they simply go into ACTION and make it happen!

People that are resourceful don’t let things like, no time, no money, lack of knowledge stop them.

They will find a way to, make time, find the money or learn the things they need to learn in order to achieve success.

Being resourceful can help you achieve success even if you lack some of the previous traits listed.

Fortunately, the 5 traits of successful entrepreneurs can be acquired by developing your mindset and surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs.

By surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs you will be exposed to these traits and you will begin to acquire these traits.
